Cyber Monday 2026 in Australia: date, deals and what to buy
Cyber Monday falls on Monday 30 November 2026, three days after Black Friday. In Australia it's no longer a separate sale. It's the last day of the Black Friday weekend, and for most stores the final call on their best prices before Christmas. That makes it the day of "ends tonight" banners and ticking countdown timers, and not all of them are honest. Here's when the sales actually end, whether Cyber Monday is cheaper than Black Friday, what's still worth buying, and how to check a "last chance" deal is real before you pay. Prices and end times vary, so check each store.

Cyber Monday 2026

When is Cyber Monday 2026, and when do the sales end?
| Date | What's on |
|---|---|
| Fri 27 November | Black Friday, the sale weekend starts |
| Mon 30 November | Cyber Monday, the last big day |
| Tue 1 December | Travel Tuesday: flights and stays |
| From 24 December | Boxing Day sales |
Cyber Monday is always the Monday after US Thanksgiving. Many Australian stores end their sale at 11:59 pm on Monday, Australian time, but it varies. Some stretch into a "Cyber Week". US websites run on US time, which is already Tuesday here. Check the terms on each store's sale page rather than trusting a banner.
Black Friday vs Cyber Monday: which is cheaper?
Short version: Black Friday is when most deals land, and Cyber Monday is when most of them end.
| Black Friday | Cyber Monday | |
|---|---|---|
| 2026 date | Fri 27 Nov | Mon 30 Nov |
| What happens | Main sale day. Most deals live, often from the week before. | Last day for most of the same deals, plus some "Cyber Monday only" offers. |
| Stock | Best range of sizes, colours and models. | Popular items may be sold out. |
| Best for | Things you've researched and want before they sell out. | A last check on your list, and anything you held off on. |
Usually it's the same price. Some stores add fresh deals on Monday to give the weekend a second push. But if something on your list is already at a good price on Friday, buy it then. Waiting three days to maybe save a few more dollars isn't worth losing it to a sell-out.
Cyber Monday on Amazon Australia
Amazon Australia rolls Black Friday and Cyber Monday into one long sale. In 2025 it started on Tuesday 18 November and finished at 11:59 pm AEDT on Cyber Monday, 1 December (Tom's Guide). Amazon hadn't announced its 2026 sale dates or end time as at 11 October 2026, so they are unconfirmed. We'll update this page when it does.
Amazon's own devices (Kindle, Echo, Fire TV) are usually among the biggest discounts, along with robot vacuums, headphones and small kitchen appliances. Some deals are Prime-only, so check the label. How to avoid fake "last chance" Cyber Monday deals
Cyber Monday runs on urgency, and that's where the tricks show up. In April 2026 the ACCC said it had reviewed 50 retailers' Black Friday advertising from 2025 and found around half made concerning claims. Problems included countdown timers saying a sale was about to end when it actually ran longer, and "sitewide" or "storewide" claims with big exclusions in the fine print (ACCC media release).
What that means for you:
- Don't trust the timer. If a "sale ends tonight" banner is still there on Tuesday, it was never the real deadline.
- Check the price history. A real deal is close to the lowest price in recent months. Our price tracker guide shows free ways to check.
- Compare the exact model at two or three stores, and add delivery to the total.
- Read the exclusions on any "storewide" or "extra 20% off" offer.
- Run the numbers through our free real deal checker. It compares the sale price with the best price elsewhere, including delivery, so you see the actual saving rather than the sticker.
What's still worth buying on Cyber Monday
The same things that are good on Black Friday. Cyber Monday is your second chance at them, not a different sale.
- TVs: late November is usually the cheapest time of year for TVs. Popular sizes can be gone by Monday, so have a backup model in mind. See our best TVs guide.
- Laptops: compare the processor, RAM and storage, not the percentage off. See the best laptops for students.
- Headphones: see our noise-cancelling headphones guide.
- Robot vacuums and air fryers: see our robot vacuum and air fryer guides.
- Kindles and Christmas gifts: read which Kindle to buy. There's still plenty of time for delivery before Christmas.
Skip: brand-new flagship phones (small discounts), anything you hadn't planned to buy, and clothes you can't return. Boxing Day is often better for fashion.
Your rights still apply on sale items. If something is faulty, Australian Consumer Law guarantees apply whether you paid full price or bought it on Cyber Monday (ACCC: consumer guarantees). Change-of-mind returns are up to the store. See our guide to refunds on sale items.

Common questions
When is Cyber Monday 2026 in Australia?
Cyber Monday is Monday 30 November 2026, three days after Black Friday on Friday 27 November. Most Australian stores run the two as one long sale.
Is Cyber Monday better than Black Friday in Australia?
Usually not by much. Most stores keep the same prices from Black Friday to Cyber Monday, plus a few 'Cyber Monday only' deals. If something you want is already a good price on Black Friday, there's rarely a reason to wait.
Do Cyber Monday sales end at midnight?
It depends on the store. Many Australian stores end at 11:59 pm on Monday, Australian time, while some extend into a 'Cyber Week'. US websites run on US time, which is already Tuesday here. Check each store's sale terms.
Does Amazon Australia have Cyber Monday deals?
Yes. Amazon Australia's Black Friday sale usually finishes on Cyber Monday. In 2025 it ran from 18 November to 11:59 pm AEDT on 1 December. Amazon hadn't announced its 2026 dates as at 11 October 2026.
Are Cyber Monday 'last chance' countdown timers real?
Not always. The ACCC found some retailers used countdown timers in their 2025 Black Friday ads that said a sale was ending when it actually ran longer. If the banner is still there the next day, it wasn't the real deadline.
Will Cyber Monday orders arrive before Christmas?
For most standard deliveries within Australia, yes. Cyber Monday is about three and a half weeks before Christmas. Bulky items, marketplace sellers and overseas orders can take longer, so check the delivery estimate at checkout.
