What to expect from The Main Event

Click Frenzy says the Main Event is four days only and covers deals in tech, home, fashion, beauty, hobbies and sports, plus travel. It is a deals hub: you browse offers, then click through and buy from the retailer at the retailer's price.

Not every store takes part. Click Frenzy says each event page lists the retailers actually participating, and The Good Guys states on its Click Frenzy page that it no longer joins Click Frenzy sales. Many stores run their own promotions around the same dates anyway, so check your favourites directly.

Click Frenzy also runs a free Frenzy Pass (an Apple Wallet or Google Wallet pass) that it says gives early access to events and member-only coupons, and a "get reminded" sign-up on its Main Event page. Signing up subscribes you to its emails.

What to buy at Click Frenzy, and what to wait for

This table is our own rule of thumb, based on how Australian sales have tended to play out. It is a guide, not a promise or a prediction of specific prices.

How to avoid fake discounts at Click Frenzy

Big red percentages are easy to print. Australian regulators have warned about this during major sales: the ACCC has said it is misleading to compare a sale price with an earlier price the product wasn't actually sold at for a reasonable period, to call a normal price a "sale", or to compare against a recommended retail price (RRP) the product was never sold at. Here is how to protect yourself:

  1. Know the normal price first. Before 27 October, note what your items cost today. A free price tracker shows the history.
  2. Ignore the "was" price. Type the sale price and the "was" price into our real deal checker and compare with what other stores charge.
  3. Check the store's own page. Click Frenzy says stores set their own prices and that if a store shows a different price from the listing, the store's price applies. Always confirm the final price at the store.
  4. Read the fine print. "Storewide" or "up to 70% off" claims can come with exclusions. The ACCC gives "storewide" or "X% off all products" claims with exclusions only in the fine print as an example of potentially misleading advertising.
  5. Compare the total. Add delivery and any membership requirements to the price, and use the unit price calculator for packs and bulk buys.
  6. Set an alert instead of rushing. A price drop alert tells you when something falls to your target price.

If a store displays two different prices for the same item, the ACCC says it must either sell at the lowest displayed price or stop selling until it fixes the error. See our guide to refunds on sale items for what you can do if something goes wrong. Click Frenzy also has a way to report an incorrect or expired deal on its site.

Your Click Frenzy checklist

  1. This week: list what you actually need and a maximum price for each.
  2. Before 27 October: check today's price and price history for each item.
  3. Optional: join the free Frenzy Pass or the Click Frenzy reminder list, and add items to our price drop alerts.
  4. From 27 October: check early. Click Frenzy says deals can end when stock sells out, and retailers may start or finish at different times.
  5. Before you pay: run the numbers through the deal checker and compare with one other store.
  6. After you buy: keep your receipt. Your Australian Consumer Law rights apply to sale items too.

What comes after Click Frenzy?

The next sales come quickly: Singles' Day (9–11 November), Black Friday early access from 20 November, then Black Friday to Cyber Monday (27–30 November). Our October sales guide covers what's on before the Main Event, and the sales on now tracker shows what's live. Get a heads-up before each one in our weekly deals email, sent every Friday.

Common questions

When is Click Frenzy 2026?

Click Frenzy's Main Event runs Tuesday 27 to Friday 30 October 2026, four days, according to the official Click Frenzy calendar and Main Event page.

What time does the Click Frenzy Main Event start?

Click Frenzy says deals go live on Tuesday 27 October, but its page doesn't state an opening hour. Some third-party sites say past events opened at 7pm AEDT, which we haven't been able to confirm for 2026. Retailers can also start, end or sell out at different times, so check each store.

What is Click Frenzy?

Click Frenzy is an Australian online deals site and sale event series. It lists offers from retailers and sends you to the store to buy, so you buy from the retailer, not from Click Frenzy. The Main Event is its biggest sale of the year.

Is Click Frenzy free to join?

Yes. Click Frenzy says it is free for shoppers, with no paid membership. It also offers a free Frenzy Pass for Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, which it says unlocks member-only coupons and other perks.

Which stores are in the Click Frenzy Main Event 2026?

A full list for the Main Event hadn't been published when we last checked on 11 October 2026. Click Frenzy says each event page lists the retailers actually taking part, and not every store with a Click Frenzy page is a partner. Some big names stay out: The Good Guys says it no longer participates in Click Frenzy sales.

Are Click Frenzy discounts real?

Not automatically. Stores set their own prices, and Click Frenzy says it compares deals with the price history it has observed, not just the store's 'was' price. You should still check the price history yourself. Under Australian Consumer Law a 'was' price can be misleading if the product wasn't actually sold at that price for a reasonable period before the sale.

Is Click Frenzy or Black Friday better?

They are separate events. For beauty, fashion and homewares, Click Frenzy is often worth it. For big tech such as TVs and laptops, many shoppers wait for Black Friday (27 November 2026) in the hope of a lower price, but that isn't guaranteed, so compare against the item's recent price history.

Who do I contact about a Click Frenzy order?

The store you bought from. Click Frenzy says it doesn't sell products, hold stock or take payment, so delivery, returns and refunds are handled by the retailer. Our guide to refunds on sale items explains your rights.
