EOFY sales 2027
When do EOFY sales start?
Australia's financial year ends on 30 June. Stores clear stock before then, so end of financial year (EOFY) sales usually start in late May or early June and run to the end of the month. In 2027, 30 June falls on a Wednesday. Some stores keep their prices into early July.
What's worth buying at EOFY
- Laptops, monitors and office gear: the classic EOFY categories, since lots of people buy work equipment before 30 June.
- Appliances: fridges, washing machines and vacuums often get big cuts.
- Furniture: desks, chairs and bedroom furniture.
- Winter clothing: June is mid-season in Australia, so jackets and boots start to drop.
EOFY and tax deductions
If you buy something you use for work, you may be able to claim part of the cost as a tax deduction. How much depends on the item, how much you use it for work and your situation. Check the ATO website or ask a registered tax agent before you buy for tax reasons. A discount doesn't make something worth buying if you don't need it.
Tips for EOFY
- Compare EOFY prices with last Black Friday's. If the price is the same or lower, it's a good time.
- Check the model year on tech. Stores clear older stock at EOFY.
- Use the deal checker to see the real saving after delivery.
